Zambia’s first consignment of COVID-19 vaccines under the COVAX Facility arrives at Kenneth Kaunda International airport on Monday.Minister of Health Jonas Chanda made the announcement today during the routine Coronavirus updates.“This consignment will consist of 228, 000 doses of the Covishield vaccine, commonly known as Astra Zeneca, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India. This is the only one of the COVID-19 vaccines in the basket as approved by Cabinet, and this will be done in a cautious and phased-up manner and on a pilot and voluntary basis,’’ Dr Chanda said in a statement
