The Zambia Police Service in Eastern Province has pledged to maintain law and order before, during and after the N’cwala traditional ceremony.

Speaking on the Big Issue radio program on Feel Free FM this morning, senior superintendent in charge of operations in Eastern Province James Muluwa says the police command has put in place measures to ensure that safety and orderliness prevail at the ceremony.

Mr. Muluwa has cautioned all those with criminal motives stating that officers will be at hand to deal with any case of theft and criminality.

He has further urged members of the public that have not been vaccinated against Covid-19 to do so adding that access to the main arena will be restricted to those with proof of vaccination.

And Community services Division CSD coordinator for Eastern Province Superintendent Emmanuel Chabamba has warned all motorists against flouting traffic rules as officers will ensure that all offenders are booked.

The N’cwala traditional ceremony of the Ngoni people will be held in Mtenguleni on Saturday the 26th of February, 2022.
